And I was wrong

Eric Munson was cut this morning (thank God), leaving Mike Rivera to fill the final roster spot for the Milwaukee Brewers. I'm not a fan of Eric Munson, but I thought he hit his way on to the team this spring, while Mike Rivera floundered considerably. But when push comes to shove, a solid arm behind the plate will pay off during Sunday games. Boy was I wrong on this one. Just goes to show, we fans don't know everything.

Aaron...I'm a bit out of control the last 24 hours after learning about Villanueva.....I even had to look at his minor league stats again and then last years stats.....and then a double jump up and down when my Fantasy waiver claim for Villanueva came through..

Oh what the hell....one more look at Villanuevas 2005 total numbers.
133 IP......99 hits.....138 K's.....41 Walks
Only minor league numbers..but like my non baseball friend from New Berlin would say...."Shit, God-dang...that boy can pitch.."

You raise something interesting about McLung....I think the Brewers are keeping reserves if Gagne tanks....Turnbow is a quality set up man and better suited for the role than a pressure cooker closer thing...He looks like 19th nervous breakdown when inheriting runners. I'm glad Yost seems to know this...But is there a better set up man than Turnbow?

And Riske too is a great set up man, but not a closer..and Mota and Torres are probably gonna be grandpas soon....so McClung's got the Motley Crew Looks that kill of a closer....potential closer..

I guess Milwaukee likes taking risks with flame throwers....and you know what..I like it! I am not a fan of Brandon Lyons type closers...I want the nasty for the specialized ninth inning role....Lights out K-Rod.....Lights out Gagne..

Talk around the audio streaming MLB airwaves is that the Brewers will fade away this year...fade away in the wrong direction...I've even heard people say there bottom batting order is "horendous." and that there starting pitching is very weak after Sheets..

Well, like my brother says..."opinions are like
#@!holes...everybody has one..

What worries me more than anything is our defense...but I think we got the buddhas out of our system in Arizona...Sorry about being so long, but I'm flying with baseball starting yesterday morning...crazy 6 AM coffee watching Matzuzaka in Tokyo...I'm impressed by A's catcher Kurt Suzuki...takes a might swing at the plate..Waiting with teeth grinding to see Eveland pitch for Oakland....Gotta love that team...40 something years as a team in Oakland...4 WS titles....11 divisions...a few more AL championships...and this year, they don't look half bad despite losing Swisher,Haren.....I better shut up or i'll never stop talking...Aaron, as always...thanks for the inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
