Hey guys, since I'm at work listening to the game and reading physics, I'll give an inning by inning run down of what went down here and there to keep people in the know.
2:15 PM In the top of the first, Rickie K'd, walk for Cameron, Prince singles and Cameron goes to third on it, Braun flied out to shallow right but it wasn't far enough to score Cam from 3rd, Hart singled right up the middle scoring Cam and Hall K'd out in front of a changeup.
2:26PM In the bottom half, Bush has already loaded the bases on two straight rockets and a walk. Yup... that's pretty normal. Grand Slam by Jack Cust seals Bush as the one big inning guy yet again. Ahead in the count 2-0 I believe and he knocked it out over Brauy's head. Still no outs, Crew down 4-1.
2:30 PM Quick pop-up followed by what sounded like a pretty solid and difficult play by Hall to get Crosby at first. And yet another base hit given up by Bush, a solid liner to the hole by Suzuki. One on and two out situation and Bush keeps pitching from behind. I can only remember one of his 6 batters starting with a strike, which is a big problem. He was supposed to go 2 innings or 35 pitches today. It looks like his 35 pitches will be up in the first. A foul out to Billy Hall ends the first with the Crew down 4-1.
2:47 PM I'd love to tell you what happened in the second, but I had to check my spec a million times because it was fidgety. I do know that when I came back Bush had walked a guy on four pitches. Now we're in the middle of the third and Hart is up. Because Brian Anderson is talking right now, i don't know who's on base, what the score is, or if there are anyone one.
3:00 PM Cust just drilled another homer. This time a solo shot to right off of Manny Parra.
Keep coming back for inning by inning updates.

Akittel....you wenty AWOL for a few days and then emerged with a fury of Brewer matter...baseball physics breakthrough.
Well, your assessment of Dave Bush was right on...killed by the first inning blues and then settling into a rhythm. How does someone fix this depressing trend? I'm gonna try and send a telepathic message to Dave...tell him to stand on his head before every game he is scheduled to pitch and watch mandatoru re-runs of Seinfeld especially the episode when George begin his ritual of doing the opposite of what he normally does....He does the opposite because he has nothing to lose.
Your request of sending Brian Andrson back to the tees is sadly mirrored here. I miss the comeraderie between Rock and Darrin. Brian sounds pre-programmed with baseball jargon...Darrin spoke from the gut.
Yeah, I definitely fell off for a while. I was running out of material and was a bit burned out. I had to stop updating the game because work came calling.
I'll try to stay a bit more consistent now that games have started. Any thoughts on Cam in the 2 hole?
Regarding Cameron in the 2 hole, it seems, as you pointed out, directly related to letting Rickey run as much as possible. Potentially, the Brewers could become a serious threat to steal a bunch of bases. Couple that with Ned's committment to creating more scoring opportunities this year and I think we're gonna score more runs.
Even if Fielder's home run totals drop, he is a solid hitter and should drive in even more runs in 2008.
Or maybe, Cameron is batting second so he gets as many at bats against big league pitchers before his 25 game suspension.
Or the lineup will be re-arranged based on lefty righty matchups with Cameron batting 2nd only against lefties. There is alot of depth in the Brewers lineup and if tinkered with properly, Yost can increase our chances on a daily basis. I hope he reads your site and adheres to some naked truth numbers.
